Angelo Bonadonna Jr. Study Abroad Scholarship



Angelo Bonadonna Jr. '08 double-majored in Clinical Psychology and Communication at SXU. He spent a semester abroad in Rome, Italy in 2006. This experience ignited a passion for travel, leading Bonadonna to conduct AIDS research in Tanzania, farming in India and teaching 7th grade Math in Thailand. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 25. His family and friends generously donated to this scholarship fund with the hope it will help other SXU students discover more about the world and themselves through study abroad. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Undergraduate Student The student must be approved for a study abroad experience, either short or long term. Preference should be given to students pursuing long-term (semester or year long) programs





Anthony and Pauline Giamo Scholarship



The Giamo Scholarship was established by former SXU president, Christine Weisman in honor of her parents Anthony and Pauline Giamo. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: The student should be a declared biology or chemistry major, and Demonstrate financial need, and Be in good academic standing, and Be in good disciplinary standing. Preference to veterans





Barbara H. Kern '57 Expendable Student Scholarship



The Barbara H. Kern '57 Expendable Student Scholarship was established by the estate of Barbara H. Kern after her passing in 2024. This award is for two freshman and will be renewable and spent out after four years in 2028.

Blew Scholarship



The Blew Scholarship honors Lynn Blew by helping an Education Division undergraduate students with financial need who possesses the critical qualities of excellence, service, and lifelong learning. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Junior or Senior Education major Preference for financial need





Blue Island Foundation Scholarship



The Blue Island Scholarship is provided by a grant from the Blue Island Healthcare Foundation. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Junior or Senior Nursing major In good academic standing From Blue Island or its surrounding communities, with preference for those from Blue Island Preference for those with financial need





Brendan Patrick Burke Memorial Scholarship Fund



The Brendan Patrick Burke Memorial Scholarship Fund was formed with the goal to help other students who reside in the south side area of Chicago realize their dreams. Brendan, who was tragically killed in an automobile accident on March 4, 2016, was only 21 years old at the time of the accident, and was a vivacious and caring young man. Brendan left behind his parents, Teresa (nee Fogarty) and Billy Burke; his sister Katie (Steve) Fugaj; and nieces Hailey and MacKenzie Fugaj. Brendan grew up in Mt. Greenwood and attended Queen of Martyrs grammar school from kindergarten through 8th grade. He continued his education at Mount Carmel High School and was involved in the National Honor Society. While at Saint Xavier University, Brendan majored in psychology, with a minor in biology. The University posthumously awarded Brendan a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude. Brendan's parents and family were blessed with the pleasure of accepting Brendan's diploma on his behalf at the 2016 Commencement ceremony. Although Brendan wanted to choose a career path where he could help others, he was taken far too soon. However, he left an indelible mark on the hearts of so many people who knew him. Whether you were a part of Brendan's life during his 21 years, or just met him for the first time, his smile and positive outlook on life was inspiring. He loved to learn and always gave his best effort in school and at work. Brendan lived each day to the fullest because he realized that ""Life is Good."" The Brian and Sue Shannon Scholarship supports an incoming first-year student with financial need from either Mother McAuley or Marist High Schools. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Graduation from Mother McAuley or Marist High Schools Preference for candidates demonstrating financial need





Bruce Deaton Memorial Scholarship



Established by trustee Peg Deaton, the Bruce Deaton Memorial Scholarship supports incoming freshman student-athletes with financial need. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Incoming freshman Student-athlete Preferance for graduates of Providence High School New Lenox, IL or Joliet Catholic High School in Joliet, IL. Student must maintain good academic standing to retain scholarship. Financial need as determined by the University.





Carol A. Keene Philosophy Scholarship



Carol A. Keene '61 Philosophy Scholarship is for juniors or seniors with financial need who have a philosophy minor and a 3.4 GPA. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: The student should be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours per semester), and Have a declared major in Philosophy, and Maintain a minimum overall GPA 3.4, and Should be junior or senior for the academic year in which the scholarship is applied to the student's account





Cartan-Hendry Family Scholarship



The Cartan-Hendry Family Scholarship is for students with need who are from Ireland or of Irish descent. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship when they apply for financial aid.

Criteria:
  • Demonstrates financial need Preference to a student from Ireland, preferably from a Mercy secondary school in Trim, County Meath, Scoil Mhuir.
  • If no Irish student is considered, preference to an American student of Irish decent from Cook County, IL





Catherine H. Malin Scholarship



The Catherine Malin Scholarship was established by bequeath from Catherine's will after her passing in 2013. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Student studying mathematics Preference for financial need





Clough-Androes Scholarship Fund



Clough-Andores awards two $2,500 scholarships each year. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Full time student Sophomore, Junior, or Senior 2.5 GPA Financial need Student must be African American/Black or Latino/a One award to a student majoring in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences, and one award to a student majoring in English

The Chase-Martin Scholarship was established in memory of Cynthia Martin-Chase in honor of her dedication to the care-giving profession of nursing.

Daniel B. Fleming '93 Memorial Scholarship



The Fleming Scholarship was established in memory of Daniel Fleming, an SXU alumnus who taught junior high language arts and high school English, by his sister Mary Elizabeth Fleming. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid.

Daniel Lawrence Memorial Scholarship



The Daniel Lawrence Scholarship was established for music students by Janis Lawrence and her family in honor of Daniel Lawrence.

  • Submit an essay on why they want to major in music and what they intend to do with the degree





Dean Beverly Gulley Scholarship



The Gulley Scholarship was established in memory of Dean Beverly Gulley for education majors with financial need. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Majoring in Education In good academic and disciplinary standing Preference for financial need





Dorothy Ritter Davis Scholarship



The Dorothy Ritter Davis '33 Scholarship was established by a gift from Dorothy's will in 1995. Mrs. Davis herself received a scholarship in 1930 which allowed her to attend Saint Xavier College. She relocated to southern Illinois and began her teaching career in a one-room school house, followed by thirty distinguished years in the Flora public high school. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Undergratuate or graduate student Education major Preference for financial need





Dorothy Williams Scholarship



The Dorothy Williams Scholarship was established by Catherine W. Kallal '43 in memory of her late mother. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. The Dr. Dorothy Binder Scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Binder who was a faculty member for 30 years. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid.

The Lloyd Leake Scholarship was established to honor Dr. Leake's life and his commitment to excellence, service and integrity. Dr. Thomas Deegan Memorial Scholarship



The Dr. Thomas Deegan Memorial Scholarship was established by Janice Deegan '69 in memory of her husband, Thomas, who was a longtime faculty member in the English Department.

Edwin J. and Mildred B. Keene Art and Music Scholarship



The Edwin J. and Mildred B. Keene Art and Music Scholarship was established by Dr. Carol A. Keene '61 in memory of her parents. Each year 1 Art and Design student and 1 Music student will be awarded.

Eileen Callaghan Memorial Scholarship



The Eileen Callahan Scholarship is who are active in the Student Nurses Association. Recipients will be selected by the School of Nursing when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Full time Undergraduate Junior or Senior GPA 2.5 Active in the Student Nursing Association Demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities Financial need





Elaine Gallagher Science Education Scholarship



The Elaine Gallagher Science Education Scholarship seeks to honor Ms. Gallagher by assisting an admitted Education Division student who possesses the excellence, hospitality, service, and lifelong learning qualities of Elaine Gallagher. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Science education major Undergraduate or graduate GPA 2.5 Preference for financial need





Elizabeth Hunter Service and Leadership Award



Elizabeth Hunter Service & Leadership Memorial Endowment for Student Scholarships was created in memory of the mother of Dr. Joyce A. Hunter, Associate Professor at Saint Xavier University. Mrs. Elizabeth Hunter was a lifelong advocate of service, hospitality and fostered leadership skills to both family and friends. Elizabeth dedicated her life to helping her family, friends and others within her community. This endowed scholarship was established to recognize the outstanding contributions of graduating students who have contributed to the success of the Graham School of Management through their personal commitment and enthusiasm for the betterment of its student body, academic or co-curricular departments, student organizations, the community and the University as a whole.

Frances Ryan Moran & Margaret Frances Moran Memorial Scholarship



The scholarship is funded by donations from the family in honor of the Frances Ryan Moran, alumna and valedictorian of the 1911 class of Saint Xavier College, and Margaret Frances Moran, 1949 alumna of Saint Xavier College and recipient of the Sister Dorothy Marie Peschon Award. The committee of the Frances Ryan Moran and Margaret Frances Moran Scholarship seeks to honor these two exemplary alumnae by helping an admitted Education Division undergraduate student who possesses the critical qualities of excellence, service and hospitality. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. George and Eunice McGuire Scholarship



The George and Eunice McGuire Scholarship is funded by the estate of the late Dr. George and Mrs. Eunice McGuire. The McGuire Scholarship Committee will honor the memory of the late George and Eunice McGuire by selecting a student who exemplifies the qualities of excellence, respect and hospitality. Criteria: Undergraduate or graduate, degree seeking students 2.75 GPA Good standing with the University Major in College of Arts and Sciences, with concentration in Education Preference for financial need





Gold Star Scholarship Fund



The Gold Star Scholarship supports students whose parent or parents are active duty members of the Chicago Police Department. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid.

Criteria:

Hassan (Husni) and Safia F. Haddad Peace Award



The Hassan (Husni) and Safia F. Haddad Peace Award honors the lives and contributions of Professors Hassan and Safia Haddad, whose teaching and research across a range of disciplines enriched the Saint Xavier community for four decades. The late Hassan Haddad was an internationally recognized scholar in Middle Eastern studies, whose passion was to foster understanding and peaceful relations among cultures. Safia Haddad chaired the Foreign Languages Department for 26 years, taught French, and the sociology of education, and truly embodied an international culture to countless students. This award and scholarship are reflections of the Haddads' enduring commitment to peace as well as the global reach of their scholarship, influence and circle of friends.

Honorable Cornelius J. Collins and Mary Kelly Collins Scholarship Fund



The Collins Scholarship is for undergraduate or graduate students with financial need who participate in activities that support the advancement of women. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Undergraduate or graduate Participation in activities that support the advancement of women, preferably in leadership roles Preference for financial need





IBEW/NECA Scholarship Fund



The IBEW/NECA Scholarship is for students who have one or both of their parents or step parents are current, past or retired members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 134.

Criteria:
  • Full time 2.5 GPA
  • Senior
  • Preference for financial need
  • A preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate that either or both of their parents (natural or step-parents) are current or retired members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) - Local 134.
  • Donor directs that a greater preference be given to any candidate who demonstrates that either or both of their parents (natural or step-parents) are/were members of the IBEW-Local 134, but are deceased at the time of the candidates application for this scholarship award.
  • In the event that there are no candidates who meet the above criteria, then Donor directs that a candidate may be selected who demonstrates that either or both of their parents (natural or step-parents) are members in the Chicago & Cook County Building & Construction Trades.





Jim McCabe Scholarship



The McCabe Scholarship was established by friends, family and SXU colleagues in memory of former GSM faculty member, Jim McCabe. Criteria: Declared major in the Graham School of Management Demonstrated financial need Good disciplinary and academic standing through maintaining a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 Service to the University and/or community demonstrated by going ""above and beyond"" to help others.





Joan Guilfoyle '39 Foreign Languages Scholarship



The Joan Guilfoyle '39 Foreign Languages Scholarship was established by Thomas, Joan, and Robert Guilfoyle in honor of their mother, Joan Guilfoyle. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. The JoAnne Fleming Warner Scholarship is for students with financial need who are enrolled in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Division. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. The Joanne P. Jones '07 Memorial Scholarship was established by Aubrey and Elizabeth Jones in memory of their late daughter. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Joyce M. Jeck Scholarship



The Jeck Scholarship was established by the Joyce M. Jeck estate after her passing in 2008. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria Nursing major Financial need





Judith A. Kerrins '66 Memorial Scholarship



Judith A. Kerrins '66 Memorial Scholarship was created in memory oflongtime friend of Kay Cushing. She grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, graduated from Carl Sandburg High School (Orland Park, IL) and received her BS in English from Saint Xavier University in I966. Judith first taught high school English, then a year later a combined 3rd and 4th grade class of students. This experience cemented her passion for teaching and her commitment to high quality instruction for all students. Throughout her career from teacher, principal, Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent of Schools and professor of educational leadership, she was a lifelong learner and inspiration to many. This endowed scholarship was established to recognize the outstanding commitment and dedication to the many she touched. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Full time GPA of 25. Judith and Laurence Hicks Scholarship



The Hicks Scholarship is for nursing students with an interest in technology and its interface with patient care.

  • Must submit an essay describing the student's interest in technology and its interface with patient care.
  • Must agree to an observational experience related to technology under the direction of the donor or the named successor.

Julius and Catherine Heerey Malin Scholarship




The Julius and Catherine Heerey Malin Scholarship was established by the estate of Helen M. Heery in honor of her sister Catherine and husband Julius. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid.  Criteria:  Education major, 2.5 GPA and Financial need.





Lead Out Loud Scholarship



The Lead Out Loud Scholarship scholarship was established by Joshua and Joseph Bogaski-Baugh to provide scholarship assitance to queer-identifying students and their allies who demonstrate leadership, service, mentorship, and/or advocacy in the LGBTQIA+ community.

Criteria:
  • Full time
  • 2.5 GPA
  • Must demonstrate leadership, service, mentorship and/or advocacy in the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Submit an essay of 250 words (maximum) describing such leadership, service, mentorship, and/or advocacy.





Lebold/Sigma Theta Tau/Alpha Omicron Scholarship



The Lebold/Sigma Theta Tau/Alpha Omicron Scholarship was established by Dr. Mary Lebold, Dean Emerita of the School of Nursing and founding member of the Alpha Omicron chapter of Sigma Theta Tau at SXU.

Criteria:
  • Membership in the Alpha Omicron Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International
  • Undergraduate or graduate
  • 3.0 GPA for Undergrad students
  • 3.5 GPA for graduate student
  • Financial need Letter of recommendation that supports commitment to the community and/or caring and compassionate nursing care.

Lifelong Learners Scholarship



The Lifelong Learners Scholarship was established by Renaissance Corner Academy. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Returning adult students





Margaret "Kay" Halper '50 Biology Scholarship



A generous gift from the estate of Margaret ""Kay"" Halper, '50, will establish the Halper Endowed Scholarship in Biology. Kay Halper, a longtime resident of the Pittsburgh area who, with her husband Donald, raised seven children, died in late 2006 after a long illness. According to Donald, Kay was a very proud SXU alumna who appreciated the education she received from the Sisters of Mercy and the lifelong friendships she formed with her classmates. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Biology major Financial need





Mark Mucha Memorial Scholarship



The Mark Mucha Memorial Scholarship was established by Carole Frank to honor Mark Mucha. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: High school GPA of 3.0 SXU GPA of 2.5 Marist High School attendance Preference to entering freshman Preference to student involved in performing arts or athletics at Marist





Mary Clare '65 and Gerald Loftus Nursing Scholarship



The Loftus Scholarship was established by Mary Clare, SXU class of 1965, and her late husband, Gerald Loftus.

  • Currently working in a catholic or community hospital Demonstrates professional demeanor and values which are conguent with the Mercy mission, specifically leadership, compassion, and community service.

Mary Jane (Dreyer) and John O'Leary Memorial Scholarship



The O'Leary Scholarship was established by siblings John O'Leary and Mary Springman in honor of their parents Mary Jane (Dreyer) and John O'Leary. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Full time and degree seeking 2.5 GPA Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Preference for financial need





Mary Kay Millea '44 and Charles E. Schmidt Scholarship



The Mary Kay Millea '44 and Charles E. Schmidt Scholarship was established by Charles in honor of his late wife, Mary Kay, who passed away in 2010. Charles passes away later in 2011. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Nursing major 3.0 GPA Financial need





Max Goldenberg Art and Design Portfolio Scholarship



The Max Goldenberg Art and Design Portfolio Scholarship was established by the Max Goldenberd Foundation for SXU art and design students. This is a one-year scholarship. Recipients are eligible to reapply every year. Criteria: Major or minor in art and design Portfolio submission Financial need





Myra A. Minuskin Leadership Scholarship



The Myra A. Minuskin Leadership Scholarship was established by Peter G. Bahner to support women athletes. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities as defined by the coach





Pamela and Louis Venema Endowed Student Scholarship



The Pamela and Louis Venema Endowed Student Scholarship was established by Pamela and Louis Venema to support undergrad students at SXU. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Preference for part time students. Full time students may be awarded if no part time students are eligible. 3.0 GPA and good standing with the university Preference for STEM major. If none, then nursing. Preference for Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Preference for female student. If none, then male.

The Pilar V. Rotella and Salvatore G. Rotella Endowed Scholarship was established by Pilar V. Rotella, in honor of her late spouce, Salvatore G. Rotella. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Full time, degree seeking Undergraduate Major or minor in a Department of Language and Literature discipline 2.5 GPA Financial need





Ralph and Loretta Oesterle Scholarship



The Ralph and Loretta Oesterle Scholarship was established by Dr. Mary Lebold '60, and Dr. Mary Oesterle '68, along with their families, in honor of Ralph and Loretta Oesterle. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Nuring major Graduate student 3.5 GPA Financial need





Renee Isadore '06 Memorial Scholarship



The Isadore Scholarship was established in memory of Renee Isadore '06 by her husband, Edward. Renee knew she wanted to be a nurse since high school and had a great passion for nursing. Throughout her career Renee was a dedicated, compassionate, understanding, and well liked by patients, colleagues, and doctors which was her calling in life. She was an RN who worked in the outpatient surgery division at Advocate Christ Medical Hospital in Oak Lawn and many have stated their work is not the same without Renee. This endowed scholarship was established to recognize the outstanding commitment and dedication to the many she touched.

Richard J. Potts Endowed Scholarship



The Richard Potts Scholarship was established by Doris Potts in memory of her son because of his love for Saint Xavier and the excellent education he was provided while he attended the University. If it was not for the assistance of scholarships, Richard would have been unable to attend Saint Xavier. The Robert and Mary Rita Stump Family Perpetual Scholarship was established by Robert and Mary Rita in 2009. Schmitt Scholars Program



The Schmitt Scholars Program promotes the development of promising student leaders. Each Schmitt Scholar receives a scholarship and participates in a year-long program of education and activities that helps participants advance their leadership efforts at Saint Xavier and prepares them to make a broader impact on the world after graduation. Participation in the program is renewable for up to three additional years, based on the successful fulfillment of program expectations. The program is supported by a generous grant from the Arthur J. Schmitt Foundation. Arthur Schmitt was a successful entrepreneur, engineer, and inventor who was committed to fostering leadership in young people. His legacy has supported generations of Schmitt Scholars at select Midwest colleges and universities.

The Schmitt Scholars Program includes a series of activities and reflections designed to advance and assess students’ leadership skills, promote the development of values-based leadership inspired by the mission of Saint Xavier and the heritage of the Sisters of Mercy, foster career development, facilitate service on campus and in the community, and motivate students to make an impact on the broader world after graduation by preparing them for future leadership roles in their professions and communities. The Program is managed by The Office of Inclusive Excellence.

Each spring SXU will hold the Schmitt Scholars Symposium and Legacy Reception. Here the Schmitt Scholars will present on their community-based learning experiences. The presentation will include a reflection on how the experience has had an impact on their personal development and leadership. The Schmitt Foundation, members of the SXU community and SXU Schmitt Scholar Alums will be invited as guests.
Our criteria for selecting Schmitt Scholars focuses on students’ leadership potential and academic achievement. Applicants are required to demonstrate a record of academic excellence with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better; active involvement in student organizations, extra-curricular academic projects, and other University-sponsored and community-based programs; and evidence of the ability to assume a leadership role on campus and beyond. Students invited to apply for the program must be full-time undergraduate, degree-seeking students with sophomore, junior, or senior standing. Students in any major are eligible for the program. Applicants must be willing to participate in a year-long program of activities as part of the Schmitt Scholars Program. Students who are planning to attend SXU for only one additional semester (i.e., fall only) will not be eligible.

Sister Mary Josetta Butler Scholarship



This scholarship was established in honor of Sister Mary Josetta Butler, who was president of Saint Xavier from 1960 - 1963. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid.

SON Alumni and Friends Endowed Scholarship



The School of Nursing Alumni and Friends Endowed Scholarshipwas established with the proceeds from the 75th Anniversary Dinner held in 2010.   • Students must have completed 75 hours toward graduation by the end of the current semester.
  • Students must have completed 24 hours in the major by the end of the current semester.

The Catherine and Sinon O'Donohue Piano Scholarship is for music majors who demonstrate talent for piano. This fund was established by Sister Mary Simeon O'Donahue (SXU faculty) and her sister, Eileen Reynolds, as a memorial to their parents. This reflects their love for the piano. The Valeria Krauspe Ministry Scholarship



The Valeria Krauspe Ministry Scholarship was established by a gift from Valeria's estate in 1997. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid. Criteria: Honor a person whose service to God's people on the Southside of the Archdiocese of Chicago has significantly manifested God's compassionate care; and, Provide a scholarship for an individual in the process of preparing for lay ecclesial ministry in the Catholic Church of Chicago. Vera F. Clough Endowed Scholarship



The Vera F. Clough Endowed Scholarship was established by Sister Joy Clough, R.S.M. '65 in memory of her mother. Ever gracious but determined, Vera persuaded her father to let her attend college. She enrolled at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and majored in English. At the end of her sophomore year, she was elected president of her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, an unusual honor for someone who was not yet a senior. Vera served as president for two years, and graduated with her degree in 1939. In 1940 Vera married Roy W. Clough and the couple settled in Chicago. Over the years, she and Roy had four daughters, and Vera enjoyed being a homemaker and a stay-at-home mom. Beyond home, there was tennis, bridge, and a large circuit of friends. Vera's Catholic faith was important to her, and she engaged in many parish activities, including a term as president of the Altar and Rosary Society. In later years, she was active in the St. Vincent de Paul Society, which provides assistance of all types to people in need. Family, faith, friends - Vera was a woman who knew how to give of herself graciously and generously. This endowed scholarship recognizes and honors her life, her values, and her legacy. Students are automatically considered for this Scholarship when they apply for financial aid.
